Esther Perel

Esther Perel is a renowned psychotherapist and New York Times bestselling author with over 35 years of experience. Fluent in nine languages, she is widely recognized for her insightful and original contributions on modern relationships. Esther runs a therapy practice in New York City where she specializes in couple and family therapy. Additionally, she is a sought-after organizational consultant for Fortune 500 companies across the globe.

Esther is an AASECT certified sex therapy supervisor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a member of the American Family Therapy Academy as well as the International Society for Sex Therapy and Research. Her international bestseller book, Mating in Captivity: Unlocking Erotic Intelligence has been translated into nearly 30 languages, making it a global phenomenon. Her latest book, The State of Affairs: Rethinking Infidelity, has also made it to the New York Times bestseller list.

In addition to her literary feats, Esther is an executive producer and host of the award-winning podcast, Where Should We Begin? as well as the new podcast, How’s Work? Over the years, she has served on the faculties of the family studies unit, department of psychiatry, New York University Medical Center, the International Trauma Studies Program, and the Ackerman Institute for the Family. Esther Perel boasts of a rich educational background. She studied MA, Expressive Arts Therapies at Lesley University and completed her undergraduate studies in Educational Psychology, French Literature, and Linguistics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
