Felipe C. da S. Sanches is a versatile software developer, hardware designer, and advocate for libre software who has worked with numerous organizations and projects in pursuit of his passion for software freedom. He studied electrical engineering at Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo but became a self-taught hacker who devoted himself to innovation in open source software and hardware engineering. Sanches has contributed to many projects, such as MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator), FontBakery, Metapolator, and TruFont as a professional libre software developer. Additionally, he has worked as a hardware designer at Musical Operating Devices, a member of the executive secretariat at NETmundial, and a volunteer free software developer for the GNU Project (LibreDWG) and Inkscape development team. Sanches has also served as a mentor for Inkscape project at Google's Summer of Code program and a scholarship Inkscape participant. He is passionate about open standards, strategic community coordination, graphic design, and emulation. Sanches was also the president and co-founder at Garoa Hacker Clube, where he fostered an active community of software enthusiasts.
