Currently co-leading the transformation of ACCESS Facility from a traditional organization towards a global community of people and organizations who share a common interest in using collective action to address social problems, prevent conflict or pursue joint opportunities.

Bronkhorst Consulting is the successor of Bronkhorst International Law Services (BILS) which I founded in 2002. While BILS was created to provide advice and related services on aspects of international public law, Bronkhorst Consulting offers project development services and is more oriented to organising  collaborative processes. 

I am an entrepreneurial project developer and strategic process designer with a wealth of experience developing and managing complex projects that require collaboration with stakeholders at all levels in order to be successful. I assist public and private entities with developing a collaborative approach to engage stakeholders, solve problems and to address any type of objective that no single individual, company or organization can meet alone.

Well-designed collaborative processes enable parties and organizations, both public and private, work better together to achieve a common goal, solve a joint problem or pursue a shared opportunity, through for example collective assessment, collective planning, collective implementation and joint decision making. 

I have broad experience in organizing the joint design, development and implementation of projects  with the aim to secure broad support, buy-in and ownership, increase legitimacy and predictability, improve impact and reduce risks such as overlooking interests and sensitivities of an socio-economic or environmental nature, duplicating or undermining existing efforts, delays and higher costs caused by protests, grievances, conflicts and reputational damage.

I assist companies, (local) governments and non-governmental organizations to better engage and collaborate with each other and their stakeholders when success depends on others. If needed, I bring in local and international support: experts, practitioners, dialogue facilitators, consensus builders and mediators.
