Dean Hovey is a versatile and accomplished entrepreneur, innovator, product designer, and leader who has made significant contributions in technology, healthcare, and consumer goods industries. With over 30 years of executive experience, he has gained a reputation for creating and scaling successful companies, new product lines, and services, and pioneering user-centric design thinking methodologies.

Dean is known for his creativity, curiosity, and leadership abilities that inspire his clients and employees to find motivation and purpose in their work. He has started 11 companies and served as a senior executive in two public corporations, including as VP and GM at Plantronics, where he oversaw the development and commercialization of consumer products, and as CEO and board member at Digifit, now Comprendo, a mobile health platform that integrates self-monitoring and patient engagement tools.

Before his executive career, Dean was a prolific product designer and co-founder of Hovey-Kelley Design, now branded as IDEO, one of the leading design consultancies in Silicon Valley. He also contributed to the design and commercialization of the computer mouse for Apple Computer.

Dean holds an MS in General Engineering Product Design from Stanford University and has consulted with major healthcare systems, Fortune 500 companies, and start-ups on consumer-centered solutions for improving health and well-being. He is currently CEO and partner at 8B Medical and was formerly president at Hovey LLC and Under One Roof-Hub.
