Neil Bellamy
Bio
Head of TMT & Services, UK.
As Head of Sector I'm responsible for the Bank's strategy, proposition and risk appetite for the whole sector vertical. That means I'm extremely lucky to have the type of role where I can be working with a University Spin Outs one day and the next, on a major deal with the very biggest names in global technology, media & telecoms (and everything in between). However, we do have particular strengths and unique expertise in the highly active and very successful TMT corporate mid-market.
The team are embedded in the key TMT clusters across the UK but also link together & assist other managers across the UK to make this the only true UK proposition for TMT businesses.
We offer through the lifecycle support for high growth techpreneurs & their amazing ideas. The team can help your business grow rapidly from start-up all the way through the cycle to IPO by bringing together as one team, relationship managers from business, commercial and corporate banking as well as specialist teams from across Natwest Group (Natwest, Royal Bank, Lombard, Coutts & Co, Adam & Co etc)
We are trully customer focused and understand your TMT subsector, specific issues and have developed personal and business ecosystem support to help you on your high growth journey. Our product suite is especially for the TMT sector, for example the University spin out package, funding for your IP or pre-profit venture debt - all unique in the market.
I like to think we are the best UK bank in providing high growth TMT firms what they really want - the 3B's - to GET BACKING, GET BIG & GET BOUGHT.
Finally, on a personal note - I have 26 years of front line banking experience working with TMT entrepreneurs. So I have a few recessions, a depression, a tech bubble and now a pandemic under my belt & my Tech claim to fame : I was Oracle's first UK banker ! I particularly enjoy advising tech start-ups at Natwest Accelerators and as a Mentor with Imperial Ventures. As a result, I've taken advisory roles in a few technology start-up businesses listed on my profile page.
