Ash Rust is a notable pre-seed investor and entrepreneur based in San Francisco, CA. He currently serves as the Managing Partner at Sterling Road, a venture fund focused on pre-seed stage B2B companies based in the US and Canada. Ash has an extensive background in tech entrepreneurship, having previously co-founded and served as CEO of SendHub (acquired by Cameo Global, Y-Combinator W12) and Director of Ranking at Klout (acquired by Lithium).

In addition to his entrepreneurship career, Ash has also worked as a mentor for numerous start-up accelerator programs such as Y Combinator, Techstars and Alchemist, as well as having served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Trinity Ventures. He has mentored hundreds of startups through these programs and other institutions such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Oxford.

Ash has an educational background in computer science, having studied for a dual MSc at the University of Oxford and a BSc in Artificial Intelligence at Durham University. Prior to entering the tech industry, he served as a Troop Commander in the British Army.
