Andrea Olmsted is a sustainability expert, writer and communications consultant based in the U.S. With over a decade of experience in the sustainable apparel manufacturing sector, she is well-known within the industry as a pioneer of eco-friendly apparel. Andrea has studied both business administration and graphic design, gaining skills that have helped her throughout her career. She co-founded the Sustainable Fashion Alliance (SFA) - a member-based network for sustainable apparel and accessories businesses in 2016, where its membership continues to grow. She also served as the West Coast Regional Coordinator for Fashion Revolution from 2015-2020. Her passion for sustainable apparel derives from her family lineage, with her grandparents working as textile factory workers upon arriving in the U.S. in the 1960s. Today, Andrea is a respected industry expert and continues to pave the way for increasing transparency and sustainability within the fashion world.
