Christina Tapper is an accomplished digital editor, writer, and sports journalist with an impressive background spanning multiple publications. She is the current Deputy Editor of ZORA, Medium.com’s publication by, for, and about women of color. In 2016, she helped launch Bleacher Report’s digital sports and culture magazine B/R Mag, where she was promoted to Managing Editor in 2018. Christina's leadership and content strategy at ZORA and Bleacher Report includes developing high-impact, personality-driven, and inclusive storytelling.

Prior to joining Bleacher Report, Christina worked at Sports Illustrated Kids, where she conceptualized, wrote and edited stories, mentored students and spearheaded the brand's SportsKid of the Year franchise. Her work at SI Kids secured high-profile athletes and individuals like NBA champion Stephen Curry and former First Lady Michelle Obama for print and digital features. She also worked as a reporter at People Magazine, writing human interest stories and interviewing celebrities. Christina is a founding board member of Achievers Early College Prep, a STEAM-focused public charter school for grades 6-12 in Trenton, New Jersey, which she helped open in 2018.

Christina is highly educated holding a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Media Studies, African Studies from Rutgers University, and a Master of Science in Publishing from Pace University. She is also a former Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University School of Communication and Information, where she taught magazine writing for four semesters.

Christina's work has been published in various magazines, including Essence, Seventeen, ESPN The Magazine, Jet, and Black Enterprise, among others. She has received multiple awards recognizing her excellence, including being named a Change-Maker by Folio and winning a Cynopsis Media award for Best Promotional Campaign.
