Alexis Ostrander is an accomplished director who has made a name for herself in the film and television industry. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University and completing the Directing Workshop for Women at the American Film Institute Conservatory, Ostrander has gone on to direct numerous critically acclaimed films and TV shows. Her talent has been recognized through several grants and fellowships, including the Panavision New Filmmaker Grant and the 2015 Sundance Female Filmmakers Initiative Financing Intensive. Ostrander's repertoire includes directing episodes of popular TV series such as RIVERDALE on CW, SHADOWHUNTERS on Freeform, and SUPERGIRL on CW. She has also directed films such as THE HAIRCUT, which won 13 awards and premiered at the AFI FEST in 2014. Her passion for telling raw, human stories is evident in all her work, and her commitment to promoting female-driven films has led to her being a guest writer for Indiewire. Ostrander's skills and talent have earned her representation by CAA, one of the world's leading talent agencies. She is currently attached to two upcoming feature films and is working on developing numerous projects for both film and television.
