Dirk Long
Dirk Long is a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Project Manager with extensive experience in product design, R&D, technology innovation, and system analysis. With a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Physics from Miami University along with an Associate of Arts degree from Clark College, Long has built a successful career as an effective and engaging leader in multidisciplinary environments.
Long has held various engineering and leadership roles throughout his career, including Senior Technical Leader - Energy Storage at Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), Global Energy Storage Engineering Manager at Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc., Founder at Battery Collective, and Research Engineer - Energy Storage at National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Additionally, Long served as an Engineering Manager, Systems Engineer, and Product Design Engineer - Battery System Safety at Apple and Project Engineer - Battery Systems at ABSL Space Products.
