Gal Barnea

Gal Barnea is a technological leader and skilled problem solver with extensive experience in the data and analytics arena. With a B.Sc. degree from Tel Aviv University, Barnea has held influential roles in various globally renowned organizations. He is currently a Senior Manager for Database Engineering at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he leads the Redshift team. His previous roles at AWS include Partner Engineering Manager and Worldwide Technical Leader for Data & Analytics. Before joining AWS, Barnea was the CTO & Co-Founder of Eyeview, an engineering team lead at Brevan Howard and Elad Software Systems, and a software engineer and QA engineer at BackWeb.

Barnea has built his extensive career on strong leadership skills, team building, and innovative technological problem solving. He has successfully managed projects within a fast-paced environment, overseen engineering teams, and worked closely with customers. He is determined to remain at the forefront of change, constantly adapting to new technological advancements that drive the industry towards the next generation of software solutions.
