Erin D. Phelps is a passionate advocate for reducing exploitation through fundamental shifts in power. She studied Sociology at Pomona College and is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper with extensive experience in philanthropic capital raising, building partnerships, and grassroots organizations support. She is currently the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager at The Freedom Fund, a non-profit organization working to end modern slavery. She has held various roles in organizations such as GoodWeave International, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, IOM Nepal, Nepal Institute of Development Studies, Adhikaar, and Neighborhood House.
Erin is a Global Shaper at the Global Shapers Community and a former Fulbright Student Researcher in Nepal. She is passionate about migration, labor rights, gender and economic justice. Her professional experience and expertise include strategic partnerships, grant writing, research, grassroots mobilization, and educational programming.
