Kavi Ohri is a seasoned music and entertainment industry professional with over 20 years of experience. He has worked on both the creative and business sides of the industry, giving him a unique understanding of the synergies between creative, production, business development, and revenue generation. Kavi has experience in music licensing, branded entertainment, strategic partnerships, digital service providers, and performance rights licensing. He is an expert in emerging sources of revenues for content owners, digital services, and brands, including social media, digital platforms, streaming services, IP rights, and mobile applications. Kavi holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Kavi is currently the Senior Director Business Development & Account Relations (Digital Licensing) at Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), where he is responsible for identifying new market trends, growth sectors, and opportunities, and then converting those opportunities into revenue-generating licenses. He is also responsible for developing initiatives and opportunities to partner and collaborate with major Digital Service Providers and other businesses that use their repertoire to create greater value for their licensees and affiliates.

Before joining BMI, Kavi held various executive positions at Decon, Virgin Records America and Astralwerks (EMI), Geffen Records, Quango Music Group/An Island Records Independent Label, and MusicDealers. He has also worked as a concert promoter and event producer at Bossa:Nova Productions and a financial analyst at Salomon Brothers.
