Shawn Baird has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in network design and infrastructure architecture. He has worked for major airports in the US and Canada, as well as the United States Military and DoD, where he served as a Senior Engineer and Security Analyst. Baird also spent time in the financial sector, serving as the Senior Network Engineer and Security Architect. Currently, he is a Senior Infrastructure Consultant and Security Lead for Moser consulting, implementing security frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI, SOX, NIST, and DISA. Baird also serves as a mentor to staff and subject matter experts, providing guidance in IT disciplines such as applications, operating systems, databases, and digital forensics.

Baird's education includes studies in Computer Science at Howard Community College. He has held positions as an Associate Director at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), Sr. Lead Information Security Engineer at Syniverse, Senior Information Security Engineer at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc., and Senior Network/Security Engineer at Walker & Dunlop. Baird's expertise includes policy and procedure development, gap analysis, risk assessment, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, incident response, and digital forensics.
