Andrew Leon Hanna

Andrew Leon Hanna is a lawyer, entrepreneur, and author from Jacksonville, Florida, with a strong passion for empowering immigrant, refugee, and first-generation entrepreneurs. He is the co-founder and CEO of DreamxAmerica, a platform that connects small businesses to zero-interest loans during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a founding team member and VP of Strategy & Business Development at Sora, an early-stage fintech startup. Additionally, Andrew is a Stanford Knight-Hennessy Scholar and Siebel Scholar at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he is pursuing an MBA. He holds a J.D. degree with honors from Harvard Law School and an A.B. degree with highest distinction from Duke University, where he was Senior Class President. Andrew is an accomplished writer, with his book on refugee entrepreneurs, 25 Million Sparks, set to be published by Cambridge University next year after winning the 2018 Financial Times and McKinsey Bracken Bower Prize. He has also worked as a Senior Associate at McKinsey, advising leading companies in a range of strategy areas, and as a teacher at Communities In Schools of Jacksonville.

Combining his expertise in law, entrepreneurship, and business development, Andrew has created a career that is both impactful and innovative. His work with DreamxAmerica has been recognized by Fast Company's 2021 World Changing Ideas List, while his upcoming book on refugee entrepreneurs highlights his commitment to social justice and advocacy. An influential figure in the immigrant and refugee community, Andrew has also served as a Youth Representative to Meetings of the UN High-Level Panel on Post-2015 Development Agenda, a U.S. Delegate to the 7th UNESCO Youth Forum, and a Youth Advisor to the U.S. Commission to UNESCO.
