Melanie Smallman is a lecturer in Science & Technology Studies and Co-Director of the Responsible Research and Innovation Hub at University College London. With expertise in science, technology and innovation policy, she has dedicated her career to exploring how science and society interact, and how we can establish more responsible research practices. She holds a PhD in Science Communication from Imperial College London and has published extensively on issues related to science policy, public engagement, and responsible innovation. Dr Smallman is also an active member of the responsible research and innovation community, serving on a number of advisory boards and committees focused on promoting social responsibility in research and innovation. Her work is highly regarded in the field and has been recognized with numerous awards and honors. Dr Smallman is committed to shaping the future of science for the benefit of society and ensuring that its benefits are shared equally by all.
