Merritt Hummer, a partner at Bain Capital Ventures, is a seasoned investor with a focus on fintech, proptech, commerce tech, and B2B marketplaces. With her expertise in growth equity investment, she is involved in all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio company support. Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Merritt worked at Goldman Sachs and Bain & Company in New York. She graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and received her MBA as a Baker Scholar at Harvard Business School. Merritt has served as a board observer for several notable companies, including SmartRent, Mirakl, and Ring. She currently resides in New York City with her husband and daughter Sienna.
