Lynne Wainwright

Lynne Wainwright is a dedicated children's nurse with 34 years of extensive experience in pediatric healthcare, particularly in general pediatrics and neonatal intensive care.

Currently serving as a lecturer in nursing education at King's College London, Lynne specializes in running neonatal courses and teaching various children's nursing modules. She also holds the position of Faculty Senior Tutor.

In addition to her role at King's College London, Lynne is a bank sister at Darent Valley Hospital and a Bliss baby charter healthcare professional assessor, showcasing her commitment to improving neonatal care.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Lynne is actively involved in community service, serving as Vice Chair of governors at Trinity School, a Governor at Willow Dene Special School, and a member of PolyMat. She is also set to become the chair of governors at Cornerstone Special School in 2021.

Lynne's educational background includes a diverse range of qualifications such as RGN / RSCN, O Levels, NNEB, a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Research, a Master's Degree in Healthcare Education, and a Diploma in Neonatal Nursing - all attained from reputable institutions such as King's College London and Hammersmith Hospital School of Nursing.

Throughout her career, Lynne has held various positions in prestigious organizations such as King's College London Florence Nightingale Faculty Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, and University Hospital Lewisham, solidifying her expertise and dedication to pediatric nursing.

Lynne's involvement extends beyond healthcare and education, as she is an active member of Net Church Dartford, where she contributes to the NetKids team, working with children aged 3-11. Moreover, she engages in animal welfare by being a home Vetter at FOAL farm and shares her home with 2 dogs, a cat, and 5 guinea pigs.
