Panos Kanavos
Panos Kanavos is a highly experienced healthcare policy researcher with over 17 years of teaching and advisory experience. He leads a group of researchers on pharmaceutical and medical technology policy at the London School of Economics (LSE) Health. Kanavos is devoted to his work as can be seen by his various roles at LSE Health in addition to being the Deputy Director. His research focuses on the economics of medical technologies, prescription quality and appropriateness, access to medical technologies in developing and transition economies, and policy effectiveness in medical technology. Kanavos has plenty of advisory experience, working with a variety of governmental organizations and independent bodies, such as the World Health Organization and the European Commission. In his past, he has studied Economics, Development Economics, and Health Economics at various universities, including the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and Oxford University.
