Rahul Saxena is a renowned venture capitalist with a strong technical and business background, making him an expert in entrepreneurship, investments, and mentoring. Rahul holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Master's degree in Fluid Mechanics from the Von Karman Institute. He furthered his education at Emory University's Goizueta Business School, specializing in Finance.
Rahul started his professional journey as a mechatronic engineer for GeneMachines, a VC-backed startup genetics instrumentation company in Silicon Valley. After his tenure at GeneMachines, he moved to Atlanta to pursue his MBA and became connected with the city's VC and business community. Thereafter, he joined Seraph Group, a pioneering hybrid angel/VC firm, as a Principal. At Seraph, he was the second full-time employee that supported and worked alongside part-time investment partners known for their establishment of renowned companies like WebTV, Apple Quicktime, and Accenture's Technology Fund.
Furthermore, Rahul's VC background and extensive experience with hundreds of startups prompted a Board of a Seraph portfolio company to request him to serve as an interim CEO, where he helped scale the SaaS business. Afterward, the company was sold to Tyler Technologies, which led to his transition to Tyler Technologies/DHD Transition as a consultant. He now leverages his diverse background in nurturing startups and entrepreneurs, and he currently serves as the Creative Director for Georgia Tech's CREATE-X program.
