Joyce Hellstern

Joyce Hellstern is an accomplished owner, manager, and investor with extensive experience in real estate and legal fields. She owns and manages the Little Ponderosa River Retreat, a luxurious vacation rental in New Braunfels on the Guadalupe River that sleeps up to 12, making it perfect for family and friend gatherings. Joyce has over 22 years' experience investing in real estate, including buying, rehabbing, selling, and renting single-family homes. She also has more than 25 years' experience in commercial litigation as a partner in a well-respected commercial litigation firm, with a focus on complex, high stakes litigation.

Joyce holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Washburn University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a journalism major and marketing minor from Wichita State University. Her excellent research, analytical, and oral and written communication skills, expertise in drafting and negotiating agreements, settlements, and taking and defending depositions make her an expert in her field.

In addition to her legal and real estate expertise, Joyce is the Independent Business Owner of Bright Star Ventures LLC and formerly Real Estate Investor at Bright Star Properties. She is actively involved in the firm's management and participates in the recruiting activities, pro bono efforts, and the firm's continuing legal education program.
