Steve Collins is a professional designer, trainer, and writer with over 50 years of experience. He founded PS5, a security consultancy which provides training and educational material to the law enforcement, defense, and security sectors. Collins is an internationally recognized authority on close-quarter personal protection, modern combat systems, and traditional martial arts. He created the REACT System of Personal Safety and authored the Manual of Prohibited and Concealable Weapons, which is used by law enforcement agencies, governments, and security professionals in over 50 countries. Collins is an accomplished author and feature writer whose influential works are studied and utilized by security professionals worldwide. He lectures to government agencies, universities, and corporate bodies on weapons awareness and personal protection from violent attacks. Collins sit on the Security Experts Panel of the Security Oracle and is an official armorer and technical advisor to the BBC.
