Agency Account Manager across all titles and products for Independent News and Media.  This includes The Sunday Independent, The Irish Independent, The Herald, The Sunday World and Independent.ie.

As part of the Agency Team for the main papers and site I share the responsible for the majority revenue across our titles, communicating on a day to day basis with Advertising Agencies and brands directly.  Customer relations is essential to the role and working together we develop best in class advertising campaigns, partnerships, podcasts and events for some of the biggest brands in the industry.

I  have a proven track record of achieving targets and developing innovative ideas to maintain existing and attract new brand activity.  My portfolio of clients stretches across the Motor, Telecom, Technology,  Health, Retail and Entertainment sectors.

Agency Account Manager

As agency account manager, I would be responsible for the top brand sales for Radio Nova.  My position involved dealing directly with all the advertising agencies throughout Dublin that represent both Irish and global brands.  Developing confidence in clients in a new radio station in a crowded market and a challenging economic environment required enthusiasm, passion, dedication and talent and from the outset I welcomed the challenge. My duties included carrying out pipeline reports, general revenue reports,  presentations for agencies and clients with the over all intention of building brand awareness of Radio Nova, Dublin's newest Classic Rock Radio Station and hense increasing revenue for the station.

Direct Sales and Management of Telephony Accounts for the Irish Sun and News of the World Display team.  The role involved maintaining relations with Telephony clients who account for 1.4 million of the display income and manage their query lists.

Developing magazine and supplement ideas created new platforms for clients to advertise and ensured sales were maximised.  Weekly meetings and presentations with current and new clients were ongoing consistently updating on new title strategies, marketing plans and readership information.

Advertising sales for The Sunday Times Home property section, The News of the World and the Irish Sun Newspapers.  My client base included: Developers, auctioneers, Interiors Companies, Gardening and landscaping clients.

Liaising with the Property Editor on a weekly basis to develop relevant content, features and supplements created new advertising opportunities for clients and ensured targets were consistently achieved.

My role in City Channel involved the original start-up of Dublin’s newest commercial TV station. I was responsible for client and advertising agency management.    Along with general advertising my role also included sponsorship deals and new programme ideas to generate and maintain revenue. I was a key player in the New Revenue solutions sales initiative – generating 1.8 million in new client advertising.

Direct Advertising Sales Manager

My role in the Sunday Tribune began as part of the direct team.  This was a highly creative role and involved generating commercial features to inspire associated brands to advertise.  New features were created on a weekly basis and were focused on seasonal, topical and industry led events.  It involved managing brands, businesses and editorial to work together to develop features of interest.
In 2004, I was promoted to Motoring Manager.   Through strong customer relationship management with motor dealers across the country, monthly targets were consistently exceeded and the client base was grown and reformed which consequently increased the motoring yield by 100%.
