Michelle Lai is an accomplished Director of Career Services and a former software engineer with extensive experience in technical interview training, career coaching, bootcamps, and QA engineering. She holds a degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and has worked for renowned companies like Pixar, Dolby, Eventbrite, and Microsoft.

Michelle's passion for helping others land their dream jobs in the tech industry has led her to establish and develop career-focused curriculum for software engineering education programs. Her training includes classroom presentations, mock interviews, workshops, projects, 1-on-1 coaching, and LinkedIn/Resume reviews that have helped over 400 data science and web developer students find their first job. She is an expert in Python, API, technical recruiting, and QA, with specializations in Mobile QA and test automation.

Michelle is currently the Director of Career Services at Formation, a technical interview training platform that is building a diverse pipeline of aspiring developers. Prior to that, she served as the top-performing Talent Manager at Triplebyte, where she assisted hundreds of engineers in landing their desired positions. She also worked as the Student Success Manager at Holberton School, Career Services Manager at Galvanize Inc, and Career Services at Hackbright Academy.
