Cofounded and served as CEO of Cashable, an omni-channel shopping rewards app for Southeast Asia. For users, Cashable was the first in-store and online cashback platform in the Philippines (we added online cashback due to pandemic). For merchants, Cashable served as a way to boost sales and view customer analytics.Why we failed / shut down: <a href="https://bit.ly/3pckeqiEngineering:-">https://bit.ly/3pckeqiEngineering:-</a> Architected and made all system design decisions together with team- Backend: TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Objection.js as ORM, S3, Redis, AWS Cloudfront Sentry, PM2 for process management, Jest, security, authentication- Mobile: TypeScript, React Native, Redux, Redux Saga, Reselect, Jest- Web: React / Redux, Ant Design (antd)Sales / Progress:Successfully sold to international brands such as TOMS, New Balance, Athlete's Foot, 7 For All Mankind, Clarks, Tous Jewelry, C1RCA, Diamond Supply Co., Grizzly, Illest, K-Swiss, Santa Cruz, Carter's, OshKosh B'Gosh. Signed 25+ local brands as well. We got really good at sales. By the last few months, 80%+ conversion rate if we got a call.

Check out our experience founding Polaris Tools and working towards our mission of ending the abuse and exploitation of migrant workers around the world:https://bit.ly/2Y8YtMGIn Hong Kong alone, 70% of migrant domestic workers (mostly from the Philippines or Indonesia) are exploited by their employment agencies, who confiscate their passports and charge illegally high placement fees.Our team of Stanford Computer Scientists and Professors of Law at Hong Kong University won a 5-year contract to digitize all of the internal workflows and processes of the Philippine Overseas Labour Office (POLO) in Hong Kong. Digitization means efficiency and transparency.
