Alexis Diaz
Alexis Diaz is a licensed social worker based in New York with a passion for uplifting communities of color and queer communities. She obtained her Master of Social Work from Columbia University in the City of New York after completing her BA in Behavioral Science at Drew University. Alexis has a wealth of experience in various social work roles, including coordinator of clinic and community services at Ackerman Institute for the Family, family therapist at Mental Health Service Corps, clinical associate at Ackerman Institute for the Family, and social worker at DREAM (formerly Harlem RBI), among others.
As a social worker, Alexis is committed to advocating for youth, families, and communities. She has a special interest in elevating the voices of marginalized communities, celebrating their strengths, and promoting their unique complexities. She is a skilled family therapist and has clinical expertise in working with individuals who are experiencing homelessness, those with special needs, and school-based social work.
