Ethan Veneklasen has had an extensive career as a communications and public affairs professional, accumulating 30 years of experience in various sectors. Having worked on an array of issues, Veneklasen has gained proficiency in transportation and technology policy, international development, and humanitarian action. This well-rounded individual is currently the Head of Advocacy and Communications at ID2020, where he leads efforts to ensure that everyone has a digital identity. Veneklasen believes that digital identification is vital in modern society, as it can enable individuals to access essential social services, exercise their rights as citizens and voters, and participate in the modern economy. Veneklasen studied Political Science at the University of Rochester and also attended Bishop O'Dowd High School.
