Meet John Wilbanks, a data governance, sharing, and digital health expert with a diverse background in both technology and policy. He studied at Bearden High School and Tulane University, as well as the Université Paris-Sorbonne. John has worked in a variety of roles, including founder of Consent to Research, research fellow at Lybba, and vice president of science at Creative Commons. Additionally, John is the chief commons officer at Sage Bionetworks, a nonprofit biomedical research organization. He is a former CEO and co-founder of Incellico, Inc., and previously served as an assistant director at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School. John has worked as a research analyst at Fonix, Inc., and as a legislative assistant to U.S. Congressman Fortney Stark. He has also worked as a grassroots coordinator for the American Physical Therapy Association.
