Sadanand Dhume
Sadanand Dhume is a well-known journalist, author, and think-tank fellow with a focus on South Asian political economy and foreign policy. He is currently the Resident Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where he writes on India and Pakistan's business, society, and politics. Prior to his work at AEI, Dhume wrote a bi-monthly column for The Wall Street Journal and contributed to numerous publications such as Foreign Policy, YaleGlobal, and The Wilson Quarterly. Dhume graduated from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs with an MPA in International Relations and received his MS in Journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
Before joining AEI, Dhume worked as an Indonesia correspondent for Far Eastern Economic Review and then served as the publication's India Bureau Chief. He also authored the acclaimed book, My Friend the Fanatic: Travels with a Radical Islamist, which offered insights into the complexities of fundamentalism. Dhume's vast experience in journalism and his expertise in South Asian political economy make him a sought-after voice in media and academia.
