Michael Peters
Michael Peters is an accomplished food photographer and stylist with diverse experience in the culinary and photography industries. He graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. in 1986 with an associate degree in Cooking and Related Culinary Arts, General. From his time there, he developed a passion for food and the beauty of food presentation. He has worked at various capacities in kitchens in New York City, from Chef Garde Manger to Pastry Chef. Peters is also an NYU alum having studied Cinematography and Photography at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. His experience in cinematography has further improved his decades-long experience with a camera in-hand.
Throughout his career, Peters has developed a keen eye for design layouts for both print and web purposes. He has a deep understanding of how to create aesthetics for large posters and small logos such as favicons. With a unique blend of both culinary and photographic experience, Peters has harnessed his skills in food and beverage photography. He has worked as a photographer and former food stylist at My Photos of Grub, specializing in food and drink photography. Besides flavors and taste, the beauty and design of food presentation are critical aspects that Peters incorporates into his photography.
