Aliz Fischer is a structural engineer with a passion for solving unique engineering challenges using a multidisciplinary approach. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics and also studied at Stanford University where she received a Master's Degree in the same field. At Arup, she works as a Senior Engineer in the Specialist Technology and Research division, where she is engaged in a wide variety of projects that involve structural analysis and dynamics.

Aliz has expertise in advanced structural analysis of buildings subjected to extreme hazards, such as earthquakes or blasts. She has performed seismic and blast analyses to understand the behavior of structural details, investigated the sensitivity of the dynamic properties of complex structures to various design interventions, and worked on the design of a moving structure, focusing on fatigue assessment. She also has experience working as a graduate teaching assistant at Stanford School of Engineering, and as a technician and teaching assistant at Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

Outside of work, Aliz has completed a Professional Tour Guide program and worked as a Local Guide at APT - Luxury Cruising & Touring. She is enthusiastic about structures or loads that are unconventional in any manner, and on her projects, she enables innovation by automating the engineering workflow.
