This project was a “mockumentary style” comedy about actors chasing their dreams by role playing games.  I helped to fund this project through “Kickstarter”. I strategized and executed the project’s social media presence to obtain required funds. I organized and hired the production team and cast for the television pilot. I was involved in creating and managing the project budget. I scouted locations for shooting. I  directed the four day shoot in New York City.

Birchbox is a $485 million beauty e-commerce service company with over one million subscribers. My role is to create demand for featured brands by communicating directly with prestige brand distributors and actively researching, pitching and securing lifestyle products. I manage day-to-day communication with existing and potential brand partners and manage sales and inventory. I source the best products based on market trends, customer feedback and the company’s strategic plans for growth. I use analytics data as a selling tool, bringing in new partners and more effective band samples to our customers.  I regularly engage with band partners and cross functional teams around content, marketing, creative and web production. I update the company website by launching product and brand pages. I successfully increased weekly average sales through brand events.  I support the operational side of product development by creating resources required to educate company specialists in promoting the brand and enabling them to conduct consultative sales with customers. I actively represent the company at industry sponsored and Birchbox co-branded events. I contribute to the continuous improvement in meeting customer demand by interacting with customers and communicating feedback about products and services offered.

Executive Producer / Editor

The Apple Store, in addition to being a retail outlet for Apple products, is a place to learn about Apple devices and there is a strong consumer education program. In this position I conducted free workshops for youth, helping visitors to the store to discover their creative side. I taught lessons on the use of Apple products and applications, targeting sales to the youth demographic. Special events including representing Apple and establishing company presence at the TriBeCa Film Festival and product partnership events. I also created the curriculum for Apple Field Trips and Apple Camp, offered during Summer. I was recognized for successful brand promotion with the “Most Inspiring and Best Team Player” award granted by peers and management.

This start-up develops creative experiences with a focus on mobile apps and web services, delivering best content and design, and venturing into experimental concepts. I contributed to writing and editing stories for iPhone application providing narrated bedtime stories and performed as the application’s English language narrator. I produced and edited my own scripts and audio narration.

I worked as a production assistant for film company that distributes video to shops, schools, and consumers. I produced, shot, and edited projects and aided in the marketing of “Spirit Ship”. I assisted in developing the company’s new website and produced social media content for a project sponsored by the Brooklyn Arts Council. I was also actively involved in publicity for the film including researching of promotion to film festivals, schools, museums, and children’s organizations.

I performed pre-production work for daily radio program broadcast nationally on school buses. I created written content for scripts, commercials, blog entries, and new reports for the show and the website. I brainstormed show ideas and pitched ideas, contests, and promotional events. This position also required me to source and arrange guests to appear on broadcasts.  When required, I did some voice overs and also co-hosted some of the shows.
