David Campbell, MD, is a highly regarded physician and medical education professional based in St. Louis. He began his career in the United States Navy Medical Corps, serving for over seven years before transitioning to medical education. He has held several leadership roles in the field, including residency program director at a university and community hospital, associate chair of the Department of Community and Family Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, and national consultant on residencies for over 12 years.

In 2000, Dr. Campbell shifted his focus to developing a not-for-profit organization, IFM Community Medicine (formerly the Institute for Family Medicine), which is dedicated to bringing quality primary health care services to disadvantaged children and adults. The organization develops clinics throughout the community, tailored to meet the needs of specific populations and often in partnership with schools or social service organizations.

Dr. Campbell holds an MD from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, a Master’s of Education from Temple University, and an AB in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. He is also a former CEO of La Clinica Health Clinic, former Medical Director/Medical Consultant at St. Louis County Department of Health, and a former CEO of the Institute for Family Medicine.
