Dan Barnes is an award-winning freelance journalist with over two decades of experience covering trading, investment, banking, and technology. He has written for trade and national press, contributed to televisual journalism, and appeared on radio programs such as Radio 4 and Thinking Allowed. Barnes' work includes a broad range of topics such as primary and secondary capital markets, big data technology in wholesale banking, and retail mobile payment systems. He co-founded and was the head of editorial at The DESK: Fixed income trading for institutional investors, and also co-founded ETF TV and TRADER TV LTD. Barnes has hosted events as a contributing editor for the FT Group and Euromoney, and he has also co-hosted events for WBR. Barnes currently serves as the Editorial Director at Markets Media (Europe).
