Katharina Sand is a multitalented fashion industry expert, teacher, writer, and innovator. With a 360-degree approach to fashion that combines speculative design thinking, real-world retail experience, and a deep understanding of cultural and societal connections through digital transformation, she has established herself as an authority in fashion management, marketing, and curation.
Sand holds a Master's degree in Parcours Projet culturel et artistique international, Mention Très Bien, from the Université de Paris 8, a Bachelor's degree in Communications & Media, magna cum laude, from Goldsmiths, University of London, and has studied Fashion Merchandising and Communications at Fashion Institute of Technology and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, respectively.
In addition to her role as a Professor of Fashion Marketing and Management at Savannah College of Art and Design, Sand has served as Co-Curator at House of Electronic Arts Basel (HeK), Shopping & Style/Arts & Culture Editor at TimeOut Switzerland, and University Lecturer at CREA Genève and The University of Art and Design Linz (Kunstuniversität Linz), among other distinguished positions. She is also a former Nominator at Design Preis Schweiz - Design Prize Switzerland and a former Founder of SEPTIEME ETAGE.
