Lance Hendrix, a politically astute Project Manager and Program Manager with a wealth of experience coordinating and enhancing government programs, strategic planning, grant review and advising senior leadership across several levels. Holding a Master's of Science in International Development from the University of Oxford, Lance has studied refugee and forced migration studies and research under Barbara Harrell-Bond in The American University in Cairo. With a remarkable track record, Lance has provided leadership across multiple White House Initiatives, including the Strong Cities, Strong Communities Initiative where he served on the Steering Committee for President Obama's Promise Zone initiative targeting rural, urban, and tribal area grantees with community economic development and sustainable food system efforts. Additionally, Lance has coordinated the USDA's Food and Nutrition Services strategic planning process, providing Project Management throughout the year around multiple Agency Priority plans.

As an experienced Project Manager who is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified, Lance also has a wealth of Shopify Project Management experience, having served as a Social Media, and Shopify Project Manager at Beard and Lady prior to joining the USDA. Lance has also served as a Transportation Program Manager at Orange County Government Department on Aging, a Grant Reviewer at the US Department of Health and Human Services - Admin for Children & Families and also as a Presidential Management Fellow at U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Lastly, Lance has also served as a Community Engagement Coordinator at USDA, a Community Development Manager - Sustainable Food Systems at USDA Rural Development, a Human Services Specialist at Orange County Social Services - Medicaid and Food & Nutrition Services Units, and as a Case Manager, Housing Project Manager, and Job Developer at U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI). Lance also gained experience as an Interfaith Event Manager and Executive Assistant at Coalition for Peace with Justice and a Research Assistant for Cairo Community Interpreters Project at American University in Cairo.
