Andrea Wong is a cross-cultural UX researcher with a focus on equity in technology. Andrea has worked as the lead UXR for Google Central Accessibility Team, Geo Product Inclusion, GSuite/Classroom Accessibility, and ChromeOS/Chromebooks International markets and expansion. She was also the first UXR hire for localization. Currently, she leads the diversity, equity, and inclusion UXR for Google News.
Andrea is a UX mentor at IndieBio, where she shares her research experience and helps mission-focused organizations and non-profits. She is an advocate for underserved and underrepresented communities and has previously designed an e-learning foundation's China strategy from scratch to reach 7,000 kids in a year with zero budget. She has collaborated with cross-functional teams across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
Andrea holds a certificate in Digital Marketing from General Assembly, a Master of Science in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Skidmore College. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and has lived in Hong Kong, New York City, Singapore, Toronto, and Shanghai.
