Matt Barron is a versatile operator turned venture investor with a passion for growth and business strategy. He has an MBA from the University of Chicago - Booth School of Business, where he participated in iCorps, and triple-majored in Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics at Denison University. With experience in venture capital, brand-building, marketing strategy, business development, and healthcare performance consulting, Matt's diverse background has equipped him with a deep understanding of the industry.

Before co-founding 12/12 Ventures, where he is currently the Managing Partner, Matt worked as the Growth and Strategy lead at Cookies and a Venture Investor for Mesh Ventures. He also founded The Waterford Fund, served as Senior Director for Growth & Strategy at VisiQuate, and worked in various capacities at SA Ignite, Sandbox Industries, and Anansi, Inc. His experience in finance management consulting with companies such as Accenture, Accretive Health, and Crowe Horwath also gives him an edge in venture capital.

As an investor, Matt focuses on supporting portfolio companies' growth and strategy, generating deal flow, leading due diligence for new investments, and handling investor relations/fundraising. He is an enthusiastic advocate of innovation, having a particular interest in healthcare innovation.
