Michael Nieves is an accomplished music industry professional with a diverse background that spans both legal and creative roles. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Political Science from Binghamton University, Nieves began his career as a litigation legal assistant at Mudge, Rose, Guthrie, Alexander & Ferdon. He then transitioned to the insurance industry where he worked as a Filing and Compliance Manager at Reliance National Insurance Company.

However, Nieves found his true passion in the entertainment industry and began working in music publishing, starting as a Manager of Business Affairs at MCA Music Publishing. He then transitioned to Rhino Entertainment as Senior Director of Licensing and Music Publishing, where he oversaw the licensing of music catalogs for film, television, advertising, and other media. Nieves then founded his own business, Sugaroo Music, where he serves as owner and president.

With over a decade of experience in music publishing, licensing, and business affairs, Nieves has established himself as an expert in the industry. He brings his meticulous attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills to every project he works on, whether negotiating licensing deals or developing marketing strategies for his clients.
