Jan Yager is an accomplished author, coach, and educator with a wealth of experience in the publishing industry. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the City University of New York Graduate Center and has studied criminal justice, fine arts, and psychiatric art therapy. Jan has written more than 50 books on productivity, time management, friendship, and book publishing, including "When Friendship Hurts" with 29 translations. She teaches as an adjunct associate professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice/CUNY and has been a visiting assistant professor at Penn State University. Jan has also worked in various roles for Hannacroix Creek Books, inc., including founder, CEO, Director of Foreign & Subsidiary Rights, Director of Publicity, and ghostwriter. Additionally, she has been a columnist for Consumeraffairs.com, a family and friends consultant for Kimberly-Clark Corporation, and an assistant editor for Macmillan Publishing Company. Jan's specialties include book development, foreign rights, productivity, work relationships, writing a book proposal, and friendship coaching.
