Kayla Reopelle
Kayla Reopelle is a full-stack web developer with a passion for solving problems. With a background in documentary film and experience in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript/React, she has developed a keen eye for detail and creative problem-solving. Kayla's education includes studying Full Stack Web Development at Flatiron School and earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Documentary Studies and Production from Ithaca College.
Kayla has worked in a variety of organizations, including HP Inc. (KForce), where she worked as a Full Stack Developer (Ruby on Rails) and Planet Argon, where she worked as a Ruby on Rails Developer. Prior to her work in the tech industry, Kayla served as a Lead Researcher for Cultural Relationships to Lawetlat'la/Mount St. Helens at Aarhus University Masters Project and as a Community Engagement Coordinator for AmeriCorps at Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity.
In addition to her work in web development, Kayla has experience as a Producer at The Manhattan Front, an Archival Researcher and Publication Assistant at "Assassin of Youth" by Alexandra Chasin, a Transmedia Producer at The Manhattan Front, and a Film Aesthetics and Analysis Tutor at Ithaca College. She has also contributed as a Blogger at the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival.
Kayla brings a strong skillset to any team, including project management, team-building, and creative problem-solving. She has experience working in the United States and European Union and is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow.
