Marcus Lewis is a highly experienced law enforcement professional with over two decades of experience in various roles with UT Southwestern Medical Center's police department. In addition to his extensive practical experience, Marcus holds a Master of Arts degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from The University of Texas at Arlington, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fine Art Photography from the University of North Texas. Marcus has worked in various functions during his time with the UT Southwestern Police, including patrol, training, special operations, and investigations.

Notably, Marcus is a TCOLE Master Peace Officer, a Police Instructor, a Firearms Instructor, a Use of Force Instructor, and a combatives instructor, making him a well-rounded and versatile law enforcement professional. His dedication to his craft has seen him work his way up through the ranks, from police officer to sergeant, lieutenant, and finally captain. Marcus has also served as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas at Arlington, where he has shared his extensive knowledge and experience with aspiring law enforcement professionals.

Currently, Marcus serves as the Chief of Police at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he continues to lead by example and inspire his team to perform their duties to the best of their abilities.
