Avinash Balakrishnan, a former graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, has dedicated his professional career to the practical applications of machine learning and deep learning. Balakrishnan's work primarily entails signal processing and time series analysis in the domains of audio. With a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering from SRM University, Balakrishnan also has experience as a teaching assistant for the University of Illinois and worked as an Intern at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Rotary Wing Division. Currently, as a Research Software Engineer at IBM Research, Balakrishnan develops machine learning models for the AI group.
