Elise Wach is a researcher, facilitator, and food grower with a strong focus on transforming food systems to be ecological, nourishing, and fair.

She holds a Ph.D. and has a background in ecological and social sciences, participatory community development, and farming.

Elise's interests lie in land access, diverse food production, democratic decision-making processes, and workshop facilitation using participatory approaches.

She is involved in local community projects like co-creating a community plant nursery and a community garden to promote home gardens and upskill future food producers.

Elise's workshop facilitation is based on participatory principles and caters to various learning styles while considering natural cycles.

Her recent Ph.D. research focused on applying food sovereignty and agroecology principles in Scotland, with prior work in seed sovereignty, organizational and policy changes in food and nutrition, and leadership for social change.

Elise has a wide-ranging educational background, having studied at the Center for Sustainable Development Studies, University of Sussex, and University of Southern California.

She has held various roles in different organizations, from being a Co-founder and grower at Frome Field to Fork to serving as a Lead Researcher on transitions to agroecological food systems at the Institute of Development Studies.
