Lorenzo Swank is an accomplished Entrepreneur in Residence and Developer with a solid background in C, Objective-C, React (Native), Node, and R. After receiving a liver transplant in 2016, he founded Pixio, a software development agency where he served as Managing Partner. His expertise in mobile and wearable technologies earned him a reputation as an expert in his field and helped shape the direction of many fields adopting these new technologies. Lorenzo has degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Science and is a member of the Korea Society and the Royal Asiatic Society.

He developed the iPhone/iPad version of a large scale visualization system as a researcher at the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute and holds several technology patents as part of his work in mobile and HDR television. Lorenzo also wrote the first game on the iPhone, when he jailbroke it in 2007 and wrote a Tetris clone. As an undergraduate, he served as a committee member in the 46th Session of the University of Utah Korean Student Association, the only non-Korean ever to do so.

Throughout his career, Lorenzo has lectured on mobile computing across the world in English and Korean. He created the curriculum for the Mobile App Design and Development courses at the University of Utah in 2010, two years after the launch of the iPhone. Currently, he is working with Python, Go, and Rust, specializing in data visualization, big data, and data processing. Previously, he was an Expert Mentor at Seoul Global Startup Center, Chairman at Pixio LLC, Graduate Research Assistant at Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute and Adjunct Instructor, College of Fine Arts / College of Engineering, School of Computing at University of Utah.
