Ravi Jain is a highly accomplished technical leader with more than 20 years of experience in areas such as mobile and wireless applications and advertising, machine learning, and software. He holds a PhD in Computer Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from The City University in London, UK.

Jain has held a variety of leadership positions at major corporations such as Amazon, Google, and NTT DoCoMo. He was the VP of Search Science and AI, Amazon Search at Amazon, and the former VP of Alexa Machine Learning Platform, where he was responsible for engineering strategy and execution of machine learning models and related pipelines. Prior to that, he served as the CTO at Vulcan, Inc., where he led technical strategy and culminated initiatives to drive innovation forward.

Before his tenure at Amazon, Jain led mobile engineering efforts at Google for seven years as a Director, VP, and Engineering Manager. During this time, he made significant strides advancing search ads shown on mobile, mobile display ads, and location-based services. Prior to that, he was a VP at NTT DoCoMo, where he had created a world-class mobile networking and security research group.

Jain has published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers, 3 books, and acquired more than 30 patents in the field of software systems, wireless networks, mobile applications, and more. He is recognized as a Fellow of the IEEE, a Member of Phi Kappa Phi, Upsilon Pi Epsilon, ACM, and has served on numerous editorial boards and research conferences.

Throughout his career, Jain has demonstrated remarkable technical and business leadership in driving innovation and pushing the limits of machine learning and wireless communication.
