Darius Banani is a highly educated and experienced attorney with an impressive background in public policy and law. He graduated with honors from the University of Chicago, where he studied Public Policy Studies. Banani then obtained his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Banani has worked as an Attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates and as an International Legal Consultant at Romano, Torres e Pinheiro Sociedade de Advogados, demonstrating his skill in legal practice.
Banani has also applied his knowledge and skills outside the legal industry. He worked as a Policy Intern at Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, as well as Web Sales & Service Intern at Fidelity Investments. At Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers, he worked in Legal Development, strengthening his skills in policy enforcement and development.
Banani also has teaching experience, having served as an Assistant Teacher at School of the Nations and as an Assistant Teacher and Marketing Co-Director at the same institution. Banani volunteered to Jeff Metcalf Fellows Alumni Volunteer Coordinator and the Jeff Metcalf Fellows Program Alumni Coordinator at the University of Chicago.
