Yosef Scolnik is an accomplished researcher with a wealth of experience in basic and applied research. His interdisciplinary approach to solving problems has made him a valuable asset in a variety of projects. Scolnik has a broad range of expertise, from basic chemistry to the performance of ceramic superconductors. He is also knowledgeable about radiation interaction with matter and scintillation, physics and chemistry of the organic solid state, and thermal batteries and solid-state reactions.
Scolnik earned a B.A. in Chemistry and a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering from Ben-Gurion University. He has worked in a variety of roles throughout his career, ranging from Visiting Scientist to Organic Chemist at the Weizmann Institute to Head of Dangerous Materials Division at Central District to Researcher at Morphology Analysis (XRD, SEM).
