Josh Knauer is a serial tech entrepreneur with a passion for using technology to drive social innovation. With a degree in Environmental Ethics and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, Knauer has taken his expertise from the board rooms of Fortune 100 companies to the Amazon rainforest and African Savanna. His career has been marked by the creation and sale of two profitable companies he founded, Green Marketplace and Rhiza, raising over $12 million in funding, and spearheading open data initiatives with President Obama's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. In addition to his executive experience, Knauer has also served on various non-profit boards and taught as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University. Today, he co-founded ReSeed Carbon Assets and advises Columbia University Technology Ventures/NYSERDA as an Executive In Residence.
