Christopher Chomyn is an accomplished professional with vast experience in the fields of biotechnology, life sciences, and healthcare. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Ph.D. in molecular, cell, and developmental biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC).

He began his career as a research assistant at UCLA studying the enzymology of nucleic acids, and later worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California at Berkeley where he investigated mitochondrial DNA replication and chromosome maintenance. During his professional career, he has held various scientific leadership positions at companies including Affymetrix, Illumina, and Invitrogen, where he led teams working on the development of new products, technology platforms, and markets.

Christopher is also an accomplished inventor, co-authoring over 30 patents in the life sciences and biotechnology fields. He is passionate about mentoring up-and-coming scientists and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS-SF).
